Exponential Audio - No Native M1 For Stereo Reverbs

Following on from several reports on the state of native M1 support for stereo Exponential Audio reverbs, iZotope has now confirmed that the stereo reverbs will not be supported natively.

In a response to a question on their Facebook page an iZotope representative replied;

“Stratus and Symphony will be patched for M1 Native support later this year. All other EA (Exponential Audio) products will not be patched and will only run in Rosetta mode.”

Micheal Carnes worked hard over the years to build a loyal following for his reverbs, this was mainly because he took time to listen to the user base and respond to their needs.

Many of his reverbs were designed in consultation with some of the top post and music mixers in the industry. Since their acquisition, Exponential Audio reverbs have seen very little investment. It’s sad to see these products starved of any real vision.

As professional audio users, it’s essential for us to be able to rely on a product being future-proof when we invest in it. Whilst brands cannot guarantee this will always be the case, these kinds of actions make a buyer think twice before investing in their products again. We have huge respect for iZotope, they make some incredible products, and we have some good friends working there. It is for this reason that this is a real disappointment for many of us on the team; we know many professionals will feel the same.

As we’ve already reported, Symphony 3D by Exponential Audio and Stratus 3D by Exponential Audio will be ported over.
