Free Plugin - Analog Obsession Cite

This week’s free plugin is Cite from Analog Obsession, a new processor for the top end of your mix. It is an original design and offers a useful combination of saturation and EQ to add brightness and air to individual channels, submixes or entire tracks.

What Is Cite?

This plugin looks simple but you can get a lot of different results out of it. Used 100% wet, Cite rolls off the deep bass and adds energy starting from about 500Hz but really digging in over 2kHz. Along with adding HF energy it also saturates, adding additional harmonic content with the mid-high control varying the content of those additional harmonics.

The dry-wet control allows heavy-handed use to be blended back in the with the dry signal, allowing lots of variation. If you want some air or fizz for your audio Cite is great place to look for it.

This new plugin initially had an issue with stereo material being reduced to mono. This has been fixed by the developer so if you had held off trying Cite, this is no longer an issue.
