This week’s free plugin is UREQ from Analog Obsession, a new EQ plugin which combines a simple vintage EQ with a gain compensated input section for colour.
What Is UREQ?
UREQ is a 4 band EQ with 16dB of cut and boost available at three fixed frequencies in each band. There is no Q control and Q is wider in boost than it is in cut on each band. All bands are bell filters, no high and low shelves and the 12 dB/Oct high and low pass filters fixed at 80Hz and 10KHz respectively.
A really nice touch is the gain compensated input which allows you to dial in as much or as little saturation as you like without having to juggle input vs output.
How Do I Get UREQ?
Analog Obsession plugins are available on Patreon, you can download them for free but supporting small developers is always appreciated and different tiers of support are available if you would like to contribute.

UREQ is available for windows and macOS as a VST, AU and AAX plugin, Apple Silicon compatible, no iLok required.
