In this week's Free Plug-in, we are featuring DeeMute from Dotec Audio, a MIDI controlled gate plugin which can be used to create all sorts of rhythmic gating effects without any audio side-chaining.
What is DeeMute?
DeeMute is a gate plugin which can be triggered via MIDI. Using it it is quick and easy to created stepped gating effects and using the attack and release parameters you can contour the pulses to you linking. There is also a Flip switch which inverst the gate meaning that rather than an incoming MIDI note muting the audio, it stays muted unless a MIDI note is received which will open the gate.
Dotec say:
It can mute (or invert) audio triggered by MIDI notes.
It can use this function for gate effects such as stutters.
The Flip button can be used to reverse the mute operation when triggered.
Attack and Release can be adjusted for ducking effects.
It can use it for a wide range of applications other than stutter and ducking.
