What is FirePresser?

FirePresser is a compressor plugin which takes the popular technique of using multiple compressors in series and runs with it.

The four compressors in FirePresser are based on emulations of vintage analogue designs and can be used in series and blended together as one tool. The four compressors are VARIMU (coloured green), STRESS (coloured red), DB160 (coloured blue), and 76 (coloured yellow). It’s not hard to figure out what they are emulating from the names. This technique of combining more than one compressor has been around for a long time, for example the practice of putting a vocal through both an LA2A and an 1176 style compressor, with each compressor performing different but complementary tasks. How To Use Firepresser

Order the chain of four compressors however you prefer, FirePresser allows quick control of the overall compression effect using the global detector controls and use the XY pad to blend between each of the four compressors, and the wet/dry control to dial in as much or as little of the overall effect as you wish. FirePresser is certainly faster and easier to control than using four separate compressors.
