Free Plugins - Toneboosters Goniometer And Spectrogram

In this week's Free Plug-in, we are featuring a pair of plugins which provide valuable visual feedback about your audio and fill a gap in the stock plugins for Pro Tools users.

What Is Goniometer?

A goniometer, or ‘phase scope’ is useful for identifying stereo imaging issues. It helps visualize the spatial sound field, stereo balance, left/right balance spectrum and correlation spectrum of your audio in real time. It’s essential for identifying out of phase information and for giving you an insight into how much, if any, stereo information is present in your audio.

This is particularly useful for Pro Tools users as there used to be a Phasescope plugin included in Pro Tools but it never made the transition to AAX. This is an ideal AAX alternative.

What Is Spectrogram?

Spectrogram helps you visualize the audio spectrum; see what notes and frequency ranges were active over time. Switch between spectrogram and spectrum analyzer modes and if you work in surround or immersive formats, it supports up to 16 channels.

How Do I Get These Plug-ins?

Go to the Toneboosters website using the button below and download and install the software installer. The button takes you to the Goniometer product page but it’s the same installer for both plugins. Deselect the products you don’t wish to install, the free ones are Goniometer and Spectrogram

Goniometer and Spectrogram are available as VST, AU & AAX Plug-Ins for Windows & macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon). No iLok required.
