Get Huge Chorused Guitars With Reverb Foundry Tai Chi

I make no secret that I’m a huge fan of Andy Summers, guitarist with the Police. Perhaps my ownership of Fender Telecasters gives the game away a little.

Listen to Police tracks and his use of modulation such as chorus and phaser leaves the tracks awash with perhaps some of the most iconic modulated guitar tones of the 80s.

When I first heard about the Chorus section in Reverb Foundry by Tai Chi I was expecting good things, the early Lexicons had modulation in them, partly to hide some technical sins. However, when I started to explore I realised that rather than something to add a little modulation to a tail the Chorus engine can really give some huge chorused guitars and take you back to the sound of the 80s.

I’d been playing around with it last week and posted a video on Facebook that many of my friends saw, some said how great it sounded.

So here’s a quick video to show the power of the chorus, and then some additional tricks contained in this ensemble reverb to really take the tails to another level.

A SHORT NOTE: To emphasise the effect I push the chorus way beyond a level or modulation any reasonable person would probably wish to have… watch until the end when I calm it down!

Enjoy!
