The Supertone Goyo team has emailed all their beta testers with details of the release version called Supertone Clear Voice Separator, which will be available to purchase from 30th October 2023. We have the details.

The History Of Goyo

Back in April 2023, the beta test program for Goyo Voice Separator was announced. We learned that GOYO is an AI-powered plugin that offers the user the ability to decrease or increase noise, reverb, and ambience using three simple knobs. Goyo told us that their approach differs from some other AI de-noise, de-reverb solutions in that it offers real-time control of the three elements, which means the user can adjust the three elements to taste.

In our early tests, it offered some impressive results. Supertone claimed it offers AAX support, but when we tested it back in April, we could not get it to show up in Pro Tools.

By May 2023, the issue had been resolved with v0.9.2, and it worked with Pro Tools AAX. As it was a beta, this gave all those who signed up for the beta test a free audio restoration software tool.

In August 2023, in our Audio Restoration Software in 2023 roundup article, we shared that Supertone had announced their plans for the official release of Supertone Clear, which will be their official product, replacing GOYO. The upgraded plug-in release version having been designed to retain Goyo’s simplicity and powerful algorithm, together with additional features like enhanced CPU performance and offline workflow, with a price of $99.

In addition, Supertone stressed in their pre-release communications that Supertone Clear would work completely offline, with the only exception being when you need to activate and deactivate the plug-in.
