Hush Pro AI-Powered Dialogue Repair AAX Plugin Released
Ian Sampson, the developer of the AI audio cleaner app Hush, has announced the release of Hush Pro, an AudioSuite plugin that removes ambient noise and room reflections from recorded speech.
Powered by machine learning and optimized for Apple Silicon, Hush Pro is said to clean up dialogue quickly and transparently — with minimal artifacts and unrivalled clarity.

Hush Mix: This mode provides users with a mixer-style user interface, enabling them to rebalance dialogue, noise, and reverb in real time. Editors can preview the results on the fly, ensuring a seamless and efficient audio editing process.

Hush Split: For those seeking finer control and non-destructive editing options, Hush Split renders dialogue, noise, and reverb as separate clips. This mode empowers audio professionals to make precise adjustments to each element independently.

Under the hood, Hush Pro uses a new, more powerful AI model, which capitalises on the enhanced GPU performance of Apple's m-series Pro, Max, and Ultra chips. According to the developer, Hush Pro will receive future updates, with an upcoming focus on improved support for singing and other vocals, expected later this Autumn.
System Requirements
Hush Pro requires Pro Tools, an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or M2), and macOS 12 or 13. The developer states that users can run Pro Tools in Apple Silicon Native mode or under Rosetta 2 emulation, with no practical difference in performance.
Support for macOS 14 (Sonoma) will be added following the public release this Fall, although users are encouraged to hold off updating until Hush Pro is thoroughly tested on the new operating system.

For users who previously acquired the original Hush app, a special upgrade price of $179 is being offered.
