Krotos has announced the release of its brand new Pro Tier of Krotos Studio which introduces several advanced features including a customisable workspace, preset editing and the ability to import sounds.

Krotos Studio is a platform for designing custom sound effects quickly and easily. It includes hundreds of presets for sound effects of most use cases you’ll need in your content; Ambiences, Foley, Whooshes/Transitions, Footsteps and many more. Krotos Studio Pro has been on the cards since Krotos first announced the sound FX platform in 2022. In the meantime, we’ve had access to a free version and the paid-for Krotos Studio as the software has evolved. Krotos Studio Pro has been developed for audio professionals who need more control of their creative output and workflows. By accessing the ‘Edit mode’ users can add their own sounds and control every aspect of existing Krotos Studio presets. Users can design their own presets for designing and performing custom sound effects, building their own library of unique tools for high speed sound design.  

The advanced features include the ability to import your own sounds and add up to 4,000 sounds per preset for countless variations - they can be performed just like you would with any Krotos Studio preset. Layers can be customised and replaced from the extensive pre-loaded library and hundreds of parameters are available to control and tweak. Check out the video below to see it in action…

Krotos Studio Pro can be run as a standalone app or as a VST/AU/AAX plugin in most DAWs. It is currently available for the equivalent of £23.49 per month when billed annually. A 7-day free trial period is available.
