Liquidsonics Cinematic Rooms is Nathaniel Reichman's Software Product Of 2020, he explains why.
Liquidsonics, the company behind Seventh Heaven and Lustrous Plates reverb plug-ins have announced their latest reverb Cinematic Rooms, offering exquisite sounds, powerful tools and full Atmos compatibility.
Cinematic Rooms is a reverb dedicated to the intense acoustic demands of surround room simulation. The advanced surround workflow tools allow you to design acoustic spaces with simplicity. Available in two editions, both support channel formats from stereo up to 7.1.6 for use with the latest Atmos bed workflows.
What Nathaniel Thinks About Cinematic Rooms From Liquidsonics
I was about to start a very tricky remastering project in multiple formats (stereo, 5.1, and Atmos) when Liquidsonics’ “Cinematic Rooms” came out. There was a lot of hype, which tends to make me not want to demo something. But after doing an immersive-reverb listening test, I quickly came to the conclusion that lots of reverb tasks for which I had previously relied on the stereo Lexicon PCM Native bundle for could now be done with the same silky, gorgeous quality in an immersive plug-in. Cinematic Rooms has made its way into many of my templates. Highly recommended.
More On Cinematics Rooms
LiquidSonics has been working with industry-leading audio professionals, including Alan Meyerson, Steve Genewick, Scott Michael Smith, and many more to ensure that Cinematic Rooms has the sound and features needed for the challenges of modern mixing environments.
Our own Mike Thornton was asked by Liquidsonics to produce a brief video guide to help you to get started with Cinematic Rooms.
As Mike explains in this video, the way small rooms are created in Cinematic Rooms, means that you don’t end with comb filtering as you reduce the size of the room, which normally results in the early reflections bunching up on top of each other and producing comb filtering. Not in Cinematic Rooms, you get crystal clear small rooms.
