In the second of this series of videos, Brent March delves into the CLA Bass plug-in; he demonstrates the effect of the plug-in engaged and bypassed. He shows us how to best use the compression section and how to take advantage of the pitch effects.

All the CLA signature series plug-ins are easy to get started with. There are just a few controls - sliders which increase or decrease the effect you are adjusting. Buttons toggle the different effects - EQ, distortion, chorus or flanging.

In use, this plug-in is helpful for both bass DI or recording a mic'd up a bass amp, where a consistent level is vital. All three compressors options are plentiful, and it’s really intuitive to slide the fader to get the bass level just right.
