PreSonus Announce Hardware Support For Apple M1 Macs And macOS Big Sur

With the introduction of the first Apple Silicon M1 Macs, Apple has started a 2-year program to move away from Intel-based x86/x64 CPU solutions. PreSonus has announced that all currently supported hardware now works natively with Apple M1 powered Macs. PreSonus has also announced that Studio One 5.2 is compatible with M1 Macs running Rosetta. We have all the details…

PreSonus Support for Apple M1 Macs is now available.

Studio One 5 - Starting with Big Sur macOS 11, Apple introduced Rosetta v2, which allows applications to run in an emulated mode. Although initial tests undertaken by PreSonus revealed performance problems when using their software with Rosetta v2 (emulation mode). Presonus has resolved then and has announced that the Studio One 5.2 is now compatible with M1 Macs running Rosetta 2.

Native M1 support for Studio one support is not yet in place but PreSonus reassure us that you can use Studio One with the latest release on M1 series Macs via Rossetta 2.

Quantum Series Thunderbolt products - These require a custom device driver, which PreSonus provide via Universal Control. PreSonus has now announced the Universal Control 3.4.2 now provides Native support for all Apple M1 Macs.
