Softube Model 80 Five Voice Synthesizer Released

Softube has announced the release of Model 80 Five Voice Synthesizer – an emulation of the industry-defining five-voice polyphonic synth from 1980.

It was the first synthesizer with a digital microprocessor to control the analog polyphonic synth engine and store sounds and has graced hits from superstars such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Radiohead, The Cars, and countless others. .

According to the press release, Softube has fully modeled and accurately articulated every detail of the circuit of this synth legend for sounds, interactions, and performance that are as close to the hardware unit as possible.

Included are the original factory presets, heard on many classic recordings, which allow producers to swiftly interact with these famous sounds instead of reconstructing them.

The expertly modeled Voice Mod section perfectly captures the modulation, sound, and feel of the hardware, while the added Invert Voice Mod button provides additional modulation envelopes not found with the original.

These features and essential workflow enhancements – like Voice Pan Spread, quantize filter cutoff, and velocity and aftertouch modulation – provide an authenticity that integrates seamlessly into modern productions.

Softube Model 80 Five Voice Synthesizer is available for $99 USD until June 2nd, (regular price: 159 USD).
