Review - Focusrite Interfaces On Windows 10 Using Thunderbolt 2

In this video for Pro Tools Expert, Technical Editor James Ivey joins Richard Rogers from Workstation Pros to take a look at running some of the Thunderbolt interfaces from Focusrite on Windows 10.

Focusrite announced their drivers a little while ago and as Thunderbolt 2 is supported we expected no major shocks or surprises but, in line with the Mac platform, what Focusrite have been able to do is create a driver that allows you to change the sample buffer within Pro Tools without the need to re-boot your Pro Tools session.  This is a feature that users of Mac OS have had forever but it was not until I started "the big switch" that I became aware of this and other issues when using the Windows OS.

Clearly, if Focusrite can do it then all those other brands who are jumping on the Thunderbolt and Windows train need to get on board and create drivers that do not require a reboot.
