In this extended review video for Pro Tools Expert, Technical Editor James Ivey takes a look at the EQ designed specifically for drums, DF-Q by Drumforge. 

DF-Q is a new take on equalising drums. There is no EQ curve graph and none of the normal EQ controls. DF-Q forces you to EQ the old fashioned way... With your ears. 

Using DF-Q is very easy. Once you have put an instance of the plug-in on the track you want to work on, simply select the type of drum you are working on with the Mode drop down menu then dial in the tone you want using the 3 modes Punch, Clarity and Attack.  Each of these modes has a Range control with 3 preset ranges A, B or C. These buttons introduce different EQ presets offering the user different EQ flavours. 

James has awarded DF-Q by Drumforge the Pro Tools Expert Editors Choice Award for it's originality, sound quality and tone shaping ability.
