Review - The Grand Rhapsody Piano Virtual Instrument By Waves

In this video review, Pro Tools Expert Deputy Editor Dan Cooper takes a look at Waves latest Piano Virtual Instrument The Grand Rhapsody. This instrument has been sampled from a piano previously owned by Freddie Mercury and has featured on countless hit records.

Waves have produced a very natural sounding grand piano instrument in Grand Rhapsody. The control set offers quite a lot of scope for producing a variety of standard and creative piano tones - for the money you are not going to find a better piano virtual instrument on the market. There's a lot of tonal depth to the sound of the instrument and realism thanks to the piano mechanics being incorporated such as natural pedal and keys up noises. At times the keys up and pedal noises sound a bit exaggerated, lucky a set of controls are provided for lessening the effect or turning off completely.
