FG-Stress is the latest in a successful line of software recreations of classic hardware from the Slate Digital team.  The Distressor is one of the most commonly used dynamics processors for Drums and Guitars in modern music production due to its enormous range and flexibility. 

In my opinion, the FG-Stress is almost indistinguishable from its hardware equivalent. it makes drums and bass sound fuller and fatter and it can keep even the most dynamic of guitar parts under control.
