Review - Arturia 3 Preamps You Will Actually Use

In this video review for Production Expert, Technical Editor James Ivey tests the new 3 Preamps you Will Actually Use by Arturia.

It's a very brave, yet catchy title, however, these could well be 3 Preamps you use all the time. They are easy to use, light on CPU load and they sound great. James tries the new 1973-Pre on drums and bass DI. He then applies the V76-Preamp on the keyboard parts finally running the lead and rhythm guitars through the TridA-Pre.

3 Preamps You Will Actually Use

1973-Pre: Based on the pioneering work of audio engineering visionary Rupert Neve, the Arturia 1973-Pre is the key to getting that harmonically exciting, solid-state 70s tone.

TridA-Pre: Music industry gold-dust, Trident Studios’ ultra-rare preamp and musical EQ added flavour to countless best-selling hits for over half a century.

V76-Pre: Key to getting that “White Album” sound, these reinvented German engineered, valve-driven broadcast preamps were beloved by Abbey Road.

In the two audio examples below, you can hear first the short track without the Arturia Preamps engaged then a version with the Arturia Preamps engaged.
