Michael Carnes started out as a composer and then took a detour into technology for 40 years. During that period he worked in the fields of medical imaging, speech recognition and operating system design. Michael found his way to Lexicon and finally formed his own company: Exponential Audio (acquired by iZotope, now part of Native Instruments). He made the first reverb plugins suitable for immersive audio and those plugins are still in wide use around the world. Not one to stay idle, Michael went back to his first love: composing. Recent and upcoming performances have featured members of the Utah Symphony and talented freelancers.
