Avid have helpfully posted a list of Avid-supported and unsupported interfaces for those considering the move to Pro Tools 11.
It is worth noting that new drivers are needed to use existing devices when Pro Tools 11 is installed.
“Important Note: If you are upgrading to Pro Tools 11, please download and install the latest drivers for your hardware from the following page:”
Hi Mike here, reporting from NAB 2013 in Las Vegas. Avid have also published a similar list for Pro Tools 11 HD. This list does include the Eucon and D-Command and D-Control control surfaces.
It is great for them to have 3 categories, supported, not offically supported and won’t work.
It is good news that the 003 and the Mbox 2 families are in the ‘supported’ category and that the 002 family is listed in the ‘not offically supported’ category rather than the ‘won’t work’ list.
On the HD interfaces it is good so see confirmation on all the ‘blue’ interfaces are in the ‘not offically supported’ category, so folk can continue to use these interfaces.
