Have you have two clips of the same person recorded at different times and wanted to match them? Well our friends at Nugen Audio have been working very hard developing a plug-in that would help with this task. They have been busy testing it between the scenes and now would like offer it as a public beta for further testing. This is what they say about it…
Nugen Audio SEQ-S with sonic sculpting and EQ matching up to 7.1
The SEQ-S has stereo mid-side operation and automated spectrum analysis. Massage and correct any audio with incredible resolution that you just can’t get with a traditional parametric interface.
A direct-draw interface and detailed spectrum analysis make it easy to quickly identify and specifically fine-tune your audio. Couple this with EQ matching via sonic fingerprinting and you have some unique possibilities.
Match One Recording To Another
Beyond traditional EQ, you can also use SEQ-S to capture the flavour of a piece of source audio and then transfer it to your current work – great for restoration and harmonisation work. Or use the same technique on individual tracks to unify different takes, microphone positions, and more.
Create ‘Perfect’ Space
The EQ Invert control gives you a minimally-invasive technique for creating space in a complex mix where traditional EQs are just too cumbersome. By ‘sampling’ the vocal and applying the inverted the curve to the backing, specific space can be gently created without unnecessarily altering the original tonality of the underlying audio.
More Info And Public Beta
If you would like to find out more and try out the public beta then go to the Nugen Audio web site and check it out. Do let us know how you get on with it too.
The team at Nugen Audio have advised us that was a technical issue that meant until yesterday (Monday 2nd June) the version on the site was an older version that didn’t have the Match EQ option or a complete manual. They recommend downloading the latest version from their site.
