It gives us at Production Exert great pleasure to announce the winner of the RME Babyface Pro FS audio interface courtesy of Synthax UK worth £67510 as Vivian Thompson of Pudsey, West Yorkshire, UK.
Like most of us, I keep myself busy in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways. Saxophone and Piano are my instruments of choice and when I get the chance, I love to record ensembles captured in natural acoustic spaces. I also used to compose bits and pieces for media, however, these days I’m now just focusing on my own music which either tends to be contemporary classical saxophone or some sort of 80’s funky synth throwback. Another venture that brings me immense joy, is a project where myself and another writer create songs as a comedy parody band called “Lost in Confetti”. However, my primary focus at the moment is on successfully completing a Masters in Music Therapy run by the amazing charity Nordoff Robbins.
I have just acquired the RME ADI 2 Pro as the new heart of my portable setup, which makes the Babyface Pro FS a perfectly complimentary companion. When two channels aren’t enough It will give me I/O flexibility, while still providing high-quality preamps, yet a minuscule footprint, ideal for me as a motorcyclist. In training to become a Nordoff Robbins music therapist, part of the approach is to film all sessions for in-depth musical analysis. The Babyface Pro FS will give me fantastic mobile practicality at the same time as crystal clear conversion - It ticks every box!
Throughout December we offered the opportunity for over 30 people to win a prize of your choice from an amazing bundle of prizes that we pulled together from our generous partners, worth around £30,000.
Each day, we took a closer look at each of the prizes in turn. Today we are looking at the RME Babyface Pro FS USB audio interface courtesy of Synthax UK worth $750
RME Babyface Pro FS
In 2019, the Babyface Pro FS once again demonstrated RME’s absolute commitment to superior craftsmanship in audio circuit design, driver development and mechanics. Created with the highest precision from a block of aluminium, this high-end portable interface incorporates a newly designed analogue and digital circuit, with innovative energy-saving technologies providing supreme fidelity without compromising in level, noise or distortion.
The clock frequency is an essential factor in any digital audio system, creating the correlation between the audio bits and time reference. Unfortunately for many devices, the clock frequency is not always as stable as might be desired. The Babyface Pro FS offers the full SteadyClock FS circuit, as found on RME's stunning sounding ADI-2 Pro FS AD/DA converter and results in an incredibly low jitter value and the highest level of jitter immunity. In short, the Babyface Pro FS gives the best sounding platform for your audio, be it a music recording or a post-production project.
