We have a winner for the Prize generously donated by Sound Radix. He is William Storkson, who does Sound Design , Mixing, Mastering, Foley and Composition:
I started in music around the age of 6, learning both guitar and piano. By the age of 14 I had released my first record in the Bay Area Thrash scene of 1982-1986 with Assassin. After finishing High School continued playing in the Metal scene in the Bay Area until 1998. In 1999 I joined Lucasfilm, THX as a tech, simultaneous learning post audio and honing my sound engineering skills. I had always been interested in sonic arts as a young kid, Realistic mono cassette, Tascam 4 track tape, Tascam 388 8 track , etc etc. By my late teens early 20s I had already been recording myself and others for 10 yrs. I started AUDIOSFX in 1999, I worked on post sound primarily but continued composing, in many genres. I have worked on AAA feature films and video games see IMDB. Most recently Atmos mixing on Borderlands 3. I have been very lucky in this field and continue to be grateful for the adventures this career has given me. I currently use Pro Tools ULTIMATE as my primary DAW, Reaper, Cubase, and Logic also reside on my machine.
My current studio also utilizes an ATMOS 7.1.2 set up.
I have always been interested in the Sound Radix Software, Post Align in particular. After seeing the give away, I threw my hat in the ring, and here we are. I plan on using the software in music mixing, and hopefully finding some post production uses via sound design and other unorthodox methods of software manipulation. I am keen on the phase aspects and alignment aspects of the software. Excited to dive in and thankful for this lovely Birthday/Christmas/New Year gift from both Production Expert and Sound Radix. It is an honor to ‘win” anything and I am appreciative of both companies generosity to our small community. I feel it will be a fun addition to the studio and tools/win worth bragging to my colleagues about.
Throughout December we offered the opportunity for over 30 people to win a prize of your choice from an amazing bundle of prizes that we pulled together from our generous partners, worth around £30,000.

If you want to know more about how to use some of the Sound Radix plug-ins in this prize bundle then check out these tutorials…
I often get the sync audio as 2 tracks, the camera mic and a personal lav mic. My workflow has been to go through the clips and select which one sounds better. I couldn’t use them both because of varying timing differences between them. Now with Auto-Align Post from Sound Radix, because it can fix the timing differences dynamically throughout a clip, I can now use them both together, and in this free video tutorial, I am going to show you how.
In this free video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers demonstrates how Drum Leveler from Sound Radix can fix an issue which proved beyond the capabilities of conventional dynamics processors.
Our very own Julian Rodgers is back with another great video, explaining what Sound Radix plug-ins do. In this free video tutorial, made with the support of Sound Radix, this time Julian explains the deeper workings of Sound Radix Pi, a plug-in designed to help deal with the complex phase relationships that happen in a mix.
In this short free video tutorial made by Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers for Sound Radix, learn how EQ works and how Surfer EQ works differently.
Ducking a track against the vocal is a common technique but have you ever thought about how you can better target what gets dipped in the track to make room for the vocal? Surfer EQ from Sound Radix is the perfect tool for this. Find out more in this free tutorial.
Destructive phase issues caused by timing differences between mics don’t always sound obvious, and how should you go about correcting them when you have the tools? Hear the difference and see how to approach this in this free demonstration tutorial.
Would Surfer EQ and POWAIR from Sound Radix for the basis of an ultimate 21st Century Channel strip? I'm not suggesting that SoundRadix should actually create a plug-in combining these two plug-ins. I'm exploring the possibilities presented by using them to fulfil the same role as a channel strip. See the results in this free video tutorial.
